Professor Ammar is currently the Chairman, Pharmaceutical Technology Department, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industries, Future University in Egypt; formerly, Dean of the Pharmacy Division, National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. He has 114 research papers published in international scientific journals. These research papers cover most of the areas related to pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. Design of new drug delivery systems is not beyond the scope of his interest.

Dr. Mary Mehrnoosh Eshaghian-Wilner has over 26 years of research experience in various areas within the field of Computer Engineering. Additionally, she has worked in the area of patent law for several years. She has published numerous scientific papers, including two books, and has handled the prosecution and infringement analysis of many complex U.S. and international patents. She is currently a Professor of Engineering Practice at the Electrical Engineering-Systems Department at the University of Southern California (USC), and since 2004 has been an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to joining UCLA, she was a tenured full Professor and Department Head at the Computer Engineering Department of Rochester Institute of Technology. Her most recent area of research is in Technology Law. She is investigating how various forms of emerging technologies may be impacted by, and come into conflict with, U.S. and international policies and laws. Pervasive (heterogeneous/ubiquitous) computing and nanotechnology are two emerging technologies in which she an extensive scientific background. She has founded and/or chaired numerous IEEE conferences and organizations, including the IEEE Women in Engineering affinity division of the Coastal Los Angeles Section. She is the recipient of several prestigious grants and honours including a teaching award for being voted as the best teacher by her engineering students. She is a nominee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.

Dr. Fabian Davamani completed his PhD at IBMS, University of Madras and worked at National Institute of Immunology, India and National Science Council, Taiwan as a post doctoral fellow. Currently working as a faculty in International Medical University, Malaysia; previously worked at Loyola College, Chennai and Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani, India. Worked on infectious diseases of the eyes, genotyping of BPD patients, peptides and truncated protein internalization, mechanism and pathways, developed nano formulation against microbes. Biosaferty officer and Deputy Head, Center for Bioactive Molecules and Drug Delivery (BMDD) in International Medical University (IMU) and Head microbiology research focus group IMU.

Behzad Shahmoradi was born in Sanandaj City, Kurdistan, west of Iran in 1976. He completed his B.E. in Environmental Health Engineering from Urmia University of Medical Sciences in 2000. After four year experience as environmental health inspector, he joint University of Mysore, India for M.Sc. in Environmental Science. In 2010, he awarded PhD from University of Mysore, India under supervision of Prof. K.Byrappa. Later, as Assist. Professor, he joint Environmental Health Research Center, Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, Sanandaj, Iran. He is the Deputy of Education at Faculty of Health and has published 31 scientific papers and collaborated in some project works on nanomaterials. His interest is synthesis of doped nanomaterials for environmental application. He has also published book chapters on hydrothermal synthesis of doped nanomaterials.

Dr. James Liang is a Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology. Previously, Dr. Liang served as professor at Tsinghua University (Beijing) and Associate Research Professor at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). Dr. Liang is currently editorial board members of three scientific journals and has over 100 peer-reviewed publications. There are three research projects in Dr. Liang, Laboratory: 1) Bacteria responsible materials for bio-fouling and medical device infections; 2) Therapeutic peptides; and 3) Nano-technology enabled bacteria and cancer cell sensing.

Dr. James Liang's research interests are bioactive peptides, functional polymers, and their potential pharmaceutical and biomedical applications.

Dr Kar Seng (Vincent) Teng is an Associate Professor and leads the Nanoelectronics Research Group in the College of Engineering at Swansea University in the United Kingdom. He received his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Swansea University, and has extensive research experiences in the study of nanoscale electronic materials and devices. This involves the application of nanotechnology in electronics, which has major impact in healthcare, computer, photonic and energy technologies. He has the expertise in the fabrication and characterisation of nanoscale electronic materials and devices, as well as controlling their properties through surface engineering for novel applications. His funded research includes the investigation of low-dimensional electronic materials, such as graphene, metal-oxide and nitride nanostructures etc., in the development of ultra-sensitive nano-biosensors for the early detection of diseases, short-wavelength lasers for ultra-high density data storage, nano-plasmonics for photovoltaic technology and fabrication of nanoelectronic devices using printing technology etc. He is also a Journal Editor for Fluorescent Materials.

Dr Teng leads the Nanoelectronics Research Group within the Multidisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre at the College of Engineering. His research interest is in the study of nanoscale electronic materials and devices. This involves the application of nanotechnology in electronics, which has major impact in healthcare, computer, photonic and energy technologies. Mawia A. Hassan received his B.Sc. degree from the Biomedical Engineering department at Sudan University of Science & Technology in 2002. He recived his M.Sc. & Ph.D. degrees from the Biomedical Engineering department at Cairo University in 2007 and 2011 respectively. He is currently the head of Biomedical Engineering Department at Sudan university of Sceinec & Technology. His research interests include medical imaging processing, analysis in particular MRI and ultrasound imaging, and multidimensional signal processing for biomedical applications.
