Biography

Ph.D. degree in Semiconductor Technology from Energy Research Unit, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (D.S.T., Govt. of India). Masters in Physics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi with specialization in organic semiconductors. 10 Years of R & D Experience with state of the art technologies. Specialist in Terahertz Technology, including THz devices (sensors and sources) fabrication, materials engineering, and optimization for surveillance, inspection, biomedical, imaging and deep space exploration applications. Specialist in Advanced CVD Diamond Technology: CVD Diamond Process, System Design, System Development.Extensive experience in high vacuum plasma CVD reactors, which are heavily used in industrial manufacturing of solar cells, coatings and TFTs. Developed low cost high vacuum MW-PECVD unit indigenously and conceived the process for cost effective commercial grade antireflection coatings (ARC) synthesis for solar cells by Nanocrytalline diamonds. Co-authored several scientific papers, presented in international conferences among lead speakers, received awards including Young Physicist Award and honorary life-membership from Indian Physical Society, Award by the Metrology Society of India (MSI), Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), Award by Dept. of Atomic Energy (D.A.E.), work on diamond ARC, was also featured as a Key Scientific Article contributing to excellence in engineering, scientific and industrial research. Invited as visiting scientist, under the India-Taiwan Programme of Cooperation In Science & Technology, at the Center for Condensed Matter Sciences (C.C.M.S.), National Taiwan University (N.T.U.), Taipei. Member of International Advisory Committees, Technical Program Committees, acted as Panel Editor, Reviewer, member of Japan Society of Applied Physics, Indian Physical Society. Engaged in consulting on futuristic technologies for start-ups, firms and educational ventures.
