Biography
Dr. Sachindra Nath Sarangi did Ph.D. Physics: 2007 from Jadavpur University, West Bengal, Thesis: Synthesis, Structure, Optical and Interfacial properties of CdSe nanocrystals and effect of DNA binding Advisor: Prof. S. N. Sahu and Prof. K. Goswami BACKGROUND AND AIMS : To impact a research carrier in experimental science by utilizing my experimental abilities in areas of Materials Science, Nanotechnology/ Nanobio systems and Nano-electronic device. ACADEMIC AWARDS : 2008 - Best poster Award (Certificate and cash prize) from Indian Science Congress Meeting held at Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam. 2010 - Best poster Award (Certificate and cash prize) from XXXVth Annual Conference of Environmental Mutagen Socity of India & International symposium on Mutagens and genetic diversity for health and agriculture at Punjab University, Chandigarh, India during 12-14 March 2010 2011-Foreign Postdoctoral Researcher award from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) under the Govt. of Japan, 2011.

RESEARCH INTERRSTS/ SPECIALIZATION (i) Fabrication and characterization of nanostructures/ thin films. (ii) Metal, compound semiconductor and oxide semiconductor nanostructures: synthesis, structure, optical and electrical properties. (iii) Surface functionalization and Nanobio hybrid system. (iv) Semiconductor heterostructure device, Optical spectroscopy. (v) Nanobio systems, Biomolecular recognition, Biosensros.
